You’ll need a Git-based repository and test accounts for the plans or roles you want to document. If you already have a help center, we’ll import it as your starting point.
Only published articles count. Drafts, previews, and archived articles are free.
You’ll get a 30-day grace period and a prompt to upgrade. We won’t block publishing or upgrade your plan automatically.
Our plans grow with your help center, so smaller products pay less. Starter is $99 a month for up to 50 published articles.

A tracked screenshot or video is one that Docmunk manages and updates automatically. One tracked screenshot includes its desktop, mobile, light, and dark versions, and using it in several articles still counts as one image or video. Images, like logos or headshots, that Docmunk doesn’t monitor or update don’t count toward your total.
No. Automatic updates are unlimited on every plan, so a busy release month won’t change your bill.
You can add 250 more for $25 a month on any plan, or move up a plan.
It’s a test account Docmunk uses to capture your app as a particular type of user, such as someone on a free trial or premium plan. Starter includes 3, Growth includes 10, and Scale and Enterprise are unlimited.

Yes. If you have under $1M in annual recurring revenue and fewer than 10 people, Starter is $49 a month for your first 12 months. It then moves to the list price, and we’ll give you 30 days’ notice. This discount can’t be combined with annual billing.
It can be. Approved projects with a public repository and an OSI-approved license get Growth plan limits for free, with the Docmunk footer left on. Companies that sell a hosted or enterprise edition of their open-source product don’t qualify, but they can choose a paid plan. Update frequency may be limited for very active repositories.

Yes, all new customers get hands-on onboarding at no extra cost. On a call of about 45 minutes, we’ll help you connect your repo, set up login profiles, import existing docs, and review your first articles.
Your help center is unpublished when you close your account, and you have 90 days to export your articles and screenshots before we delete them.
